Parenting tips for new parents 

  1. Listen to all the advice you are bound to receive but pick your own path.  Also, each child is different and what works for one may not work for the other.

  2. Everyone makes mistakes as parents so don't 'beat yourself up' when one happens.

  3. Find 'quiet time' away from the kids - especially if you are the primary carer. Works wonders.

  4. Don't worry too much if your child won't eat much for a day or so. They go through different stages with their eating habits and usually eat when they are hungry.
