Laughing Kookaburra 11"

Kookaburras are a unique bird in Australia and is the world's largest kingfisher. The laughing kookaburra has a call that builds from a low sound up to a crescendo. Friendly creatures, they often land in our back garden (usually on the kids swing set) always on the lookout for an insect or lizard to eat.

This soft toy kookaburra is approximately 25 cm at the longest section and plays a tune.

Ocker Emu 14"

"The word emu comes from the Portuguese word 'ema', which means 'large bird'. Standing up to 2m tall, adult male emus are Australia's largest birds.

Emus eat a wide variety of leaves, grasses, fruits, native plants, and insects. In spring and summer, their diet consists mainly of flowers and seeds. In autumn, as those foods become scarce, they graze on young grass which sprouts after summer rains. In winter, herbs form the emu's main food. They eat insects when these are available – such as during grasshopper plagues."
